ActivLives Chantry Walled Garden

Description

ActivLives is a local independent charity working in Ipswich and across Suffolk. They work towards keeping people active, connected and involved with their local community through accessible sports and exercise, learning new skills and volunteering opportunities.

They have numerous sites across Ipswich, however our event was based at the Chantry Walled Garden.

This is a heritage walled garden in a public park, with flower borders and vegetable-growing areas, as well as extensive glasshouses as part of their plant nursery. The Chantry Walled Garden is open Tuesdays and Thursdays 9 am - 3 pm, and Saturdays from May until July. Their new season plant fair is on Thursday 9th May.

We had a productive morning helping bury all the perennial pots outside on the potting tables ready for them to be sold to the public. Not only did you spend the morning giving back to the community we also raised a fantastic £90 in booking fees which will be heading straight to ActivLives.
