Do Good supports a number of local charities and community projects by running events where business people can network whilst getting their hands dirty and carrying out a variety of creative tasks.
So far we've been lucky enough to work with the following amazing chairities. Each and every one of them provide invaluable support to our community and we are so proud to be able to help where we can.
Emmaus Suffolk provides rehabilitation for homeless, socially-isolated and long term unemployed people in the region. They offer education, training and work opportunities to relieve poverty and the resulting distress. Emmaus have two retail outlets in Ipswich selling second hand and upcycled goods.

Age UK Suffolk
Age UK Suffolk are a local charity – an independent part of a network of local Age UKs from across the country. Every penny that is raised in Suffolk stays in Suffolk.
The aim of the charity is to improve the lives of older people across Suffolk. They provide essential information and advice to older people and their families and carers – often at times of crisis. They also tackle the growing issues of social isolation and loneliness through befriending schemes and social groups. They assist older people to remain living independently in their own homes for longer through the provision of independent living programmes and aides. There is support available for older people and their carers who are living with dementia.

For the last 50 years, Papworth Trust have offered essential services to disabled and older people including care and support, leisure and learning activities, help with work and training and rehabilitation.
The Allotment Project has been going now for 8 years, supporting adults with a learning disability to have the opportunity of experiencing working in a garden environment and the benefits this brings.
Not only having the opportunity of taking home some of the vegetables they have helped to grow and nurture, but also the benefits of gentle exercise, outdoors. The vegetables grown also get used in the centres healthy eating groups menus.

Lighthouse Women's Aid
Lighthouse is a local, independent charity working with women, young people and children affected by domestic abuse across Suffolk. Lighthouse provide expert advice, refuge accommodation for those needing to flee abusive relationships and a range of therapeutic courses to help those affected recover from the devastating effects of abuse and move forward to find a brighter, safer and happier future’.
Domestic abuse affects local communities across our county and Lighthouse are working hard to educate young people about Healthy Relationships through the delivery of the Expect Respect Programme in schools.

The Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity makes a real difference to the experience of patients, their families, and the staff who treat them. We need your support to help us to go that extra mile for you and your loved ones.
