Beach Clean - Ormiston Families

In August, we met at Bridge Wood where we headed down to the River Orwell for a beach clean to support Ormiston Families.

Ormiston Families support families in the East of England to build resilience and make choices to improve the life chances of their children. By offering early and preventative action they help to create safe, healthy and resilient families who feel in control of their own wellbeing.

Ormiston works with families affected by imprisonment or offending behaviour, supports people experiencing mental and emotional problems and works with communities.

Due to the nature of their work our Do Good volunteers got together to do a beach clean between Bridge Wood and Orwell Country Park.

What a busy morning we had. We made our way through the woods and onto the beach to collect as much litter as we could find. In total, we collected 4 full bin liners of litter. We also donated a fantastic £150 to Ormiston Families through booking fees.

 A big thanks to everyone that attended, we hope you enjoyed yourselves and went back to work feeling great! A huge pat on the back goes to all of you for helping to tidy up a small piece of our countryside.
