Painting and decorating - Emmaus

Description

In March we were back with Emmaus Suffolk. at their newest site, The Royal Oak on Felixstowe Road. The converted pub opened its doors in December as a community cafe and shop.

The community café and charity shop also provide volunteering opportunities for people experiencing isolation, loneliness, and long-term unemployment. This model has enabled many Emmaus Suffolk volunteers to move on to employment, training, or education.

Team Do Good had a busy morning stripping wallpaper and painting the 3 large bedrooms and landing area. The upstairs accommodation is really starting to come together and hopefully, the new companions will be moving in after Easter.
